Alfresco Partnership Announced

Remote-Learner is pleased to announce it has joined the Alfresco partner program. Alfresco is an open source content management system with many of the same features as Microsoft SharePoint, including:

Improve efficiency through centralized management of learning content
Improve content re-use with site-wide sharing
Reduce content development costs through automated workflow and conversion
WebDav drag and drop resources from desktop to repository
Version control of documents and permissions based access
Centralize student content through learner backpacks
Federated system with single-sign-on to Moodle and portal

Remote-Learner has integrated the Alfresco CMS with Moodle; all files directories in the CMS repository appear in Moodle's file manager, allowing both upload and download of resources for both instructor and learner. Remote-Learner has placed Alfresco on it's ELIS roadmap for delivery in the second quarter of 2009.
