Advanced Moodle Training:
This one-day training session, held at Rooms4Biz in Toronto, Ontario, is designed to extend and enhance the skills of a Moodle course creator. The advanced training agenda will begin where the two-day course creator training ends with a focus on some of the more complex tools and features of the Moodle learning management system. The day will also include discussion of key instructional design principles as they apply to the elements of your Moodle course.

    * Lesson
    * Database
    * Wiki
    * RSS
    * Groups
    * Scales
    * Outcomes
    * Instructional Design Basics
    * Strategies for Effective Online Instruction
    * Enhancing Web Design (web design basics)
    * Improving Accessibility

This training is appropriate for experienced Moodle users as well as new Moodle users who have recently completed our two-day course creator "Bootcamp" or our "Using Moodle" online course.
Course Notes:

    * The Advanced Workshop is limited to 20 participants.
    * Class will begin at 8:30am and conclude at 4:30pm, with an hour and a half on your own for lunch.
    * Please bring your laptop computer to this workshop for hands on training.
    * Recommendation: Using Moodle textbook by Jason Cole and Helen Foster

Please Note:
This training will not address administrative Moodle tasks such as user authentication, site set up, themes, etc. Please check our website for training options for Moodle Administrators. This training is geared toward teachers and course creators who will be building content and facilitating student activity.  In addition, questions about topics addressed in the two-day training will only be answered as time allows. So that we can provide the best experience for all participants, please see the two-day training agenda to ensure that you have the base skills needed for this training.
