Transition to Moodle 2
This four-week self-paced course is designed to introduce experienced LMS users to Moodle 2.
For course developers and administrators who are already familiar with prior versions of Moodle, the Transition to Moodle 2 course introduces the fundamental differences of Moodle 2. For participants who are familiar with other learning management systems, this course builds a foundation of key skills as they convert to Moodle.
Some of the things you'll learn in our Transition to Moodle 2 course include:
• Navigating the Moodle environment
• Uploading files and navigating the file structure to re-use files as necessary
• Creating a Moodle course with course settings appropriate to organizational and learner needs
• Defining and creating a course structure with appropriate resources, blocks and completion tracking
• Developing a variety of Moodle activities including quizzes, forums, assignments, glossaries, lessons, chats, and blogs to support curriculum
• Managing course administration including enrollments, groups, and gradebook
• Applying conditional releases as appropriate for instructional activities and overall course objectives
Please anticipate a time commitment of 4 - 6 hours per week for course participation. Changes to enrollment following the course start date will be assessed a $50 fee.
Please note: when registering for training, be sure to provide the name(s) and email address(es) of the individual(s) who will actually be taking the course.
You will receive login information in an email from the instructor one week before the course begins. This email will also include the day and time of the course orientation session. You are not required to log in to the course at a specific time on the first day, but please plan to attend the orientation session.
