The ELIS QuickStart program is a customized series of training and consulting sessions with follow-up support designed to provide ELIS users with a good foundation in the features and functionality of the program. Through the ELIS QuickStart program, an organinzation will take part in four virtual conference sessions typically scheduled over a two-week period to allow time to implement and construct between sessions. Each of the sessions will be tailored to the needs of your organization, based on Remote-Learner's Needs Assessment Worksheet, and ongoing evaluation in subsequent interactions.

During the course of the QuickStart program, which begins after successful ELIS installation, we start by taking you through the process of creating and managing curricula and learning environments within your system. We’ll address procedures for managing users, generating reports, using the learning object repository and more.  Please note that these sessions will address the features and functionality of ELIS only.  If assistance is needed with integrating outside systems (e.g., HR, SIS etc.) with ELIS and/or Moodle a separate session may be scheduled where we can bring in additional resources to cover those issues.

While each QuickStart program is unique to an organizations needs, we will begin planning your program based on the following outline. The first two sessions are likely to be very similar to what you see here while the last two are more likely to vary as we drill down into your specific needs.

Session One: Identifying Needs and Building the Basics

  • ELIS Overview
  • Review Needs Assessment
  • Construct Curriculum

Session Two: Managing Users

  • Creating Tracks
  • Creating Clusters and Custom Moodle Profile Fields
  • Cluster Supervisor Role
  • Assigning Clusters to Curricula & Tracks
  • Marking Users Inactive

Session Three: Tracking User Activity

  • Accessing the Course Roster
  • Marking User Status Manually
  • Viewing Reports
  • Scheduling Reports
  • Notifications

Session Four: Putting It All Together

  • Curriculum Administrator Role
  • User Interface
  • Content Repository
  • Configuration Settings
  • Wrap-Up

Once you have completed the four sessions of the ELIS QuickStart program, your trainers will continue to be available through the support portal to respond to any questions that might arise as you continue the implementation process. By providing you access to your trainers over the long-term, you can ensure that you are working with someone familiar with the nuances of your learning program and ELIS implementation.
