Mahara is an open source e-portfolio system with a flexible display framework, being adopted in both academic and workplace environments. Mahara, meaning 'think' or 'thought' in Te Reo Māori, is a user centered platform having a permissions framework that enables different Views of an e-portfolio to be easily managed. Mahara is fully integrated with Moodle through a secure single-sign-on (SSO) web service connection. Mahara is ideal for students at any level in their educational career, helping them to maintain learning mastery artifacts as they advance through the system. Mahara is also ideal for the corporate/governmental environment to help staff show workplace competency during a review period. Mahara features include:
