Working on a Moodle Course Creator Certificate (MCCC) is a way for you to demonstrate skills in using Moodle as a teacher, trainer or instructional designer within your work environment. MCCC is not a professional endorsement or license to offer paid Moodle services. The assessment required to gain the MCCC designation and certificate contains:
a course project- a short narrative document
- an online exam.
You will be assigned an MCCC-certified mentor-assessor from among Remote-Learner staff to help guide you through this process. When you pass the required assessment you are given a code that allows you download your personalized certificate as a PDF from the central MCCC site.
MCCC is a not a training course per-se, it assumes that you already know something about Moodle and just want to be assessed and certified. If you are relatively new to Moodle, the best way to gain the competencies you will be assessed on is to enroll in Remote-Learner's Foundations of Moodle course first. Remote-Learner's MCCC Online Training Course assumes that you have created and taught Moodle courses previously and that you are comfortable finding information and solving problems through information in Moodle Docs.
Everything you will need to prepare for the MCCC assessment is included in Remote-Learner's MCCC Online Training Course. This course is 8 weeks long, follows recommendations in the official MCCC documentation (see link below) and includes:
- Personalized mentoring within the course
- A "sandbox" Moodle site of your own
- Preparation for official MCCC assessment exam
If you answer yes to these questions, you are most likely prepared to enroll in MCCC:
- I have created at least one Moodle course previously and used it with learners
- I am familiar with the Moodle Docs area, and can find my way around
- I have read all the documentation in the Moodle Certification area
- I can set aside 5-10 hours a week to work on my MCCC (this may vary depending on you)
- I want to improve my understanding and use of Moodle
Cost: $630.00
